Food is very important. It is the source of energy for our body. The food we eat daily changes many things in our day to day life, the way we respond to the environmental stimuli also depends on the type of food we eat everyday. Good and healthy food provide's an happy and energetic lifestyle whereas unhealthy and junk food provide's a bad mood and also causes diseases. Food gives us vital nutrients to help "recharge" our body. These days people are so busy that they usually skip breakfast, hurry through lunch and do not prepare for dinner. To tell you the truth, if you are one of those who think that eating packed food items will save time and increase productivity you are very wrong because studies have revealed that people who maintain healthy eating habits have less stress levels, and eating healthy food also keeps you mentally and physically active therefore increasing productivity. So spending some time eating healthy food will not decrease your productivity but actually increase it. Eating healthy food is all well and good but exercising and torching up our calories is also very important to stay healthy. Lack of exercise can cause obesity, over weight and other health problems in the long run too. Junk food should be avoided in our meals because it has many negative effects on our mind and body. Eating junk foods is also one of the reasons of depression. Eating junk food causes heart diseases, kidney diseases, decrease metabolism. Junk food can also cause brain damage. The damage junk food causes to our body is known almost by everyone but nobody seems to care about it. Research shows that 98% of College and University students feed mostly on Junk foods. The timings for our meals is also very important. In India the dinner timings are from 8:00 pm to 10:30pm. Almost every Indian citizen eats his or her dinner after 8:00pm. We should finish eating dinner 3 hours before sleep because if we don't then our food will not get completely digested and this can cause weight gain. When you sleep immediately after eating food your brain signals the organs to start digesting the food. The blood circulation becomes more concentrated around the digestive system. The shift in the intensity of blood supply affects the brain too. A good time for eating your dinner is around 6:00pm.
